Born in France and raised in Italy. After two years of classical training, which he broke off because of his intense desire to know other types of music, at 18 years of age, Alexis Lefèvre took off for Buenos Aires. This put him in contact with Argentinian folklore and he played with musicians such as Luis Salinas. In 1999 he moved to Seville where he began his exploration into the world of Flamenco. From his beginnings in the Carboneria with Carlos Heredia, until today, he has travelled the world playing with artists such as Vicente Amigo, Juan Carlos Romero, Tomatito, Raimundo Amador, El Lebrijano, Diego Amador, Dorantes, Javier Baron, Joaquin Grilo, Rubén Olmo, Tomasito, Tino di Geraldo, Pedro Sierra, Andrés Marin, Marina Heredia, Esperanza Fernandez... He recorded for numerous flamenco albums, such as Vicente Amigo's "Paseo de Gracia"; El Lebrijano's "Suenos en el aire" and "Yo me llamo Juan"; Marina Heredia's "La voz del Agua"; Juan Carlos Romero's "Agua encendida", and many more... He composed the music for dance performances of Javier Baron (Meridiana, Baron y la musica), Rubén Olmo (Las tentaciones de Poe) and Joaquin Grilo (A solas). Since 2007 he has been part of Ultra High Flamenco, along with Pablo Martin, Caminero, José Quevedo "Bolita" and Paquito Gonzales, with two discs on the market (UHF and Bipolar) as well as a third on the way. And now, after so much journeying, Alexis Lefèvre presents his first personal album, "Desvios y encuentros", the outcome of a multitude of musical influences that have accompanied him in all these years...
Aside from playing on stages across the world, accompanying many artists as a violinist, Alexis Lefèvre now presents his first disc as a soloist "Desvios Y Encuentros". The ten pieces in the album are all composed and arranged by him. Here he is not only playing the violin and singing in some of the arrangements; he also plays the viola and the guitar, instruments that he often uses to compose and that he taught himself to play. The following musicians have collaborated in the recording
Pablo Martín Caminero, on doublebass Paquito Gonzalez, on percussions Martín Bruhn, on percussions Alvaro Gandúl, on accordion Francesco Manna, on flute Mavi López Jurado, on clarinet Lauren Serrano: Mix and mastering (Estudio Henare)
This album is marked by the musical influences that he has experienced in his eventful career, from argentinian folklore to flamenco, that give way to an intensely personal style that reveals a musical side of Alexis Lefèvre that was thus far unknown.
In 2005 the Jerez dancer Joaquin Grilo meets the band that first match these four musicians. The chemical group is instantaneous and decided to create his musical project: UHF Ultra High Flamenco
